About Grant

Combining lots of life experiences to get to this place.

I was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, just a few miles up the road from Denver. Real estate runs in my family. My father founded a local real estate company in the 1970s, and today, my brother works at the firm my father founded. My grandfather was a developer and homebuilder in Denver and Grand Lake, Colorado.

I graduated with honors from The University of Colorado in Boulder with a Political Science/Pre-Law degree. U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell hired me directly out of school. I worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. and his southern Colorado district office until law school called. I went on to get my Juris Doctorate from Northwestern School of Law in 2003. Following law school and being admitted to practice law in Colorado, I joined the law firm of Robinson Scheurer PC, focusing on land use and real estate law.

In 2004, I got my real estate license to help with transactional work at my law firm and started brokering real estate a short time later. I joined a leading firm in Cherry Creek, where I built a team of successful agents.

In 2010, I started a boutique real estate investment firm to further my vision of delivering a better customer experience. As an owner and managing broker for 14 years, I successfully navigated the turbulent waters of various market cycles.

I learned a lot about running a small business but learned even more about managing people and building lasting relationships. I bring all those lessons with me to Compass.
